The Car Show was started as an ending event for the 1st Antique Car Run. After the first year,
the Antique Car Run people determined that they could better direct their resources, and it was offered to two local car clubs,
The Studebaker Driver’s Club, and the Twin Cities Regional Group of the Early Ford V-8 Club. During the next couple
of years, the event venue was changed, and the sponsoring Clubs added a Swap Meet.
.

For the past 15 years the event has averaged over 185 cars pre-1982 vehicles, of all makes. The wonderful
grassy area where the vehicles are displayed make an ideal setting for the spectator to view the owner’s treasured vehicles.
The atmosphere fits in with the family orientation of the Stockyard Day’s festival. There are
15 types of entries, with classes for stock and modified vehicles. Awards are based on owner voting, and a People’s
Choice Award is determined by the viewing spectators voting for the vehicle that they like most.
